Ep 175 - The Movies To Show Your Kids

One of the best things about being a parent is being able to share the things we love with our kids including movies. But we can’t just show them everything all at once; babies aren’t going to fully comprehend Inception. And five year olds probably shouldn’t be watching Friday the 13th… but your mileage may vary. This month we make a list of all of the movies we’d like to show our kids so we can check them off as they grow up and the time is right.

Ep 172 - Awesome Popcorn Containers

Movie tie-in popcorn containers have become a big thing. It was one thing to get a popcorn tin with the movie characters and logo on the side, but now you can get a container in the shape of an Ecto-1 complete with lights! This month, we’re creating awesome popcorn containers for new and classic movies. Who wouldn’t want to eat popcorn out of the ark of the covenant or Mt. Doom?

Ep 168 - Legacy Sitcom Seasons

Legacy sequels are nothing new but doing them the right way seems to be. Several movies have done it to include Ghostbusters and Top Gun and so have several TV series like Roseanne, now The Conners, and Night Court. So we thought we would give it a shot. This month, we each pick a sitcom series and create several episodes for a legacy season.

Ep 71 - It's Basically the Same Movie

Ever watch a movie and think, "this reminds me of something," only to realize later it's basically the same movie as one you've already seen? And we're not talking about remakes here either. The Lion King is basically just Hamlet... with lions. Cars is basically Doc Hollywood... with Cars. This week we make some direct comparisons between movies that share more than one plot device. We also stretch this idea pretty thin in some humorous ways.

Ep 52 - Geek Holy Trilogies

It's a huge episode for a huge topic. When you think holy trilogies, what comes to mind? Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, etc. But which Star Wars movies? If you could only pick 3 Harry Potter movies, which ones would you go with? What about Star Trek or X-Men? Is The Matrix a trilogy or an awesome movie with forgettable sequels? Let the great debate begin!

Ep 25 - Best & Worst TV Dads

In honor of Father's Day, we decided to discuss our favorite TV and movie dads just like we did for dear old mom. We also discussed some of the worst from the dead beats who weren't there to the ones who are straight up psycho! And just like with the Mother's Day episode, there was a debate as to which list some of the dads should be on... imagine that.
