Ep 56 - SNES Classic Games List

Nintendo is on fire right now. The NES Classic is still impossible to find and their new console, the Nintendo Switch, is sold out as well. There are rumors the Big N is considering releasing a SNES Classic and while that is just a rumor, we're excited for the possibility! So we came up with a list of the 30 games we think should be included on a SNES Classic if it does ever hit store shelves.

Ep 47 - The List: NES

Its 2016 and the two hottest toys everyone is clamoring to get their hands on are Hatchimals and the NES?!? Well, the NES Classic to be exact. 30 years after Nintendo debuted their flagship gaming console and changed the world, they have managed to make it one of the most sought after items on the market... AGAIN. To celebrate the resurgence of Nintendo fever, we're counting down our top 5 NES games of all time. Basically it was like Sophie's Choice for Cy.

Ep 46 - Awesome Hallmark Ornaments

On episode 1, we came up with some truly horrible Hallmark ornaments. This time we're taking the high road and coming up with some awesome ornaments we like to see on our Christmas trees. Since it was just "The Three Stooges" on this week's show, we also wondered a bit in our conversations and discussed our thoughts on the state of geeky properties. Time the deck the halls with epicness!

Ep 43 - The Raw Feed

Have you ever listened to the cold open, the little snippet at the beginning of every episode, and thought "I wonder what led to that conversation?" If so, this week's episode is for you. Instead of a regular, structured episode we're giving you the raw feed, warts and all as it were. So sit back and enjoy a wondering conversation about... whatever.

Ep 41 - 8-bit Modern Horror Movie Games

Do you remember playing the NES versions of Nightmare on Elm St. and Friday the 13th? Whether you liked them or not you have to admit they had very little to do with the actual movies but what did you expect from only being 8-bit? This week we turn modern horror movies into NES "classics." What would Saw look like on the NES and how would it play? Would you have rented the 28 Days Later at Blockbuster? What movies would work best with the Zapper? All this and more as we continue our month long celebration of Halloween.

Ep 29 - Line Sitting Memories

Waiting in line. There have been countless studies done on the psychological effects standing in line has on a person and they all say it sucks. But some times it doesn't. Some times you get to know the people around you and waiting for those tickets or item to go on sale becomes part of the experience. This week we share our fondest memories of waiting in lines to get new games consoles, movie and concert tickets and even rides at Disneyland. You can probably guess who enjoyed the lines at Disney.

Ep 16 - Geek Coat of Arms

A coat of arms is used to represent a person's family and lineage. But how could an outdated family coat of arms really represent you in modern times? This week the group creates our own geek coat of arms. Each person was tasked with choosing colors, symbols for the shield, a crest, supports and a motto. The end result is actually a pretty accurate description of our geeky passions.
