Ep 45 - The War of the Worlds

Aliens have invaded the earth and mankind is powerless to stop it! They are destroying cities, defeating the military and killing humans in mass. But this isn’t Independence Day or Mars Attacks!, no this is the OG story of creatures from another planet destroying our own. Published in 1898, The War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells is a classic sci-fi tale that foreshadows technology well ahead of its time and comments of social and religious ideologies while setting the story in a world close to that of the real world. You know, classic sci-fi. January’s book will be Ready Player Two by Ernest Cline.
